I leaned in, lips curling at the corner of his ear, every word venom laced with mockery. “What are you going to do about it?”

That snapped him. His face flared red, fury twisting his features into something almost grotesque. His hands shook as his fists clenched at his sides, the vein in his neck pulsing so hard I thought it might burst.
