“Well?” Santo asked, passing the binoculars to me.

“It’s not a trap,” I said confidently. “The letter’s legit.”

“How can you be sure?”

“Look at the security around the place.” I pointed out each of the squadrons we could see. “Thirty men in the front and only twenty out in the back. If they’d been anticipating an attack, there would’ve been three times as many on duty.”
