I was feeling the beast slowly taking control inside of me. I should have been secluded, keeping my distance, away from my pack, until this beast subsided. But here I was, pacing, with Jai standing in front of me, blocking my path so I don't leave the territory. If I don't go out, there would be no way to save her. And if she died, I don't know what would happen to me or to her pack and family. They would be the ones at the losing end.
