I ran as fast as I could, praying to the goddess not to lose my footing. But at one point, I came to an abrupt stop when it started chasing me. Instead of running blindly, I tried to stay ahead of it and kept sprinting while it followed closely behind. Its footsteps were so loud I knew it was right behind me, until suddenly, the sounds faded.

I paused and looked around, behind me, in front, and to both sides, but it was nowhere to be found.
