“Are you sure you will be okay?” I asked Evelyn, who was busy pressing her phone. She lifted her eyes at me for a second before going back to the screen.

“That’s the tenth time you’re asking me! I will be fine!” she groaned, her tone sharp, and I raised my eyebrow slightly.
