Annalise’s POV

Tina rose as whispers began to hiss around us like snakes. My eyes turned to her, curious as to what was wrong with the two men in front of us.

Then someone leaned close.. too close.. and murmured something into her ear. I didn’t catch the words, but I caught the way her spine stiffened, as her gaze immediately stared across the open ground and fell on the men fighting.

Her lips curled, almost amused.
