I woke up feeling sore and in pain, every muscle in my body was protesting as I tried to move. The bruises from last night were still fresh, and I winced as I shifted on the bed. Glancing around the room, I noticed that Liam was gone, but a tray of breakfast was left on the table. My stomach growled, and without thinking, I dragged myself over and began to eat. The food gave me a bit of strength, enough to head back to my room to wash up and change.
