My forehead rested against the surface of the glass. My breath came in ragged, shallow gasps, fogging the pane in front of my eyes. My legs were trembling so violently that I wasn't sure they would hold me up if Luca let go.

I blinked, trying to clear the haze of pleasure and terror from my vision.
