After those words left Lorraine’s lips, Jesse lifted an eyebrow, a small smile forming on his face.

“What did you say?” he asked quietly.

"Spend the night here. But you can forget it if you don't want to." she mumbled, suddenly shy. She made to step back, but he closed the distance, his hands coming up to hold her arms gently, stopping her.
