Just before he could say anything, she leaned in on her toes and gently kissed him.

It was quick. Soft.

She pulled back slowly, her eyes shy as she turned around, about to leave, but Aiden’s hand caught hers before she could take another step.

She didn’t even get a chance to steady herself before he pulled her into his arms, wrapping one around her waist.

"You're just going to kiss me and walk away?" he said.

Before she could respond or overthink it, he kissed her.
