Mike returned a short while later, walking into the living room with a calm look on his face.

“She’s been discharged,” he said. “Someone already picked her up. I saw her get into the car myself.”

Zayn let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding. He felt a wave of relief but quickly covered it up by leaning back and nodding.
