Hera’s POV 

I gazed at my mate with tears of joy shimmering in my eyes. I couldn’t believe we’ve made it home. Yes, we were now safe, free and together! 

“Yes, our kind goddess heard our prayers!” I whispered as Felixe sat down beside me. 

“Yes, she had to! I would have destroyed her peace of mind if anything happened to you, Hera!” He hoisted me and pulled me into his arms. I wrapped my arms around his neck and clung to him. 

“So would I. I can’t live without you.” ...
