Morgan’s hand clamped around my wrist, pulling me fast through the hallway. His steps were steady, confident, like he owned the floor. I twisted, trying to free myself, but his grip only tightened, digging into my skin.

He didn’t slow until we reached the corner near the public lounge, where the hallway turned quieter. The chatter of students still drifted around us, but fewer people stopped here. He finally halted and turned to face me.
