Lola’s POV

For a moment, I couldn’t move.

My whole body froze. My mind couldn’t even process what had just happened.

Flint’s lips were still so close that I could feel his breath against mine. My eyes widened, my heart pounding so fast it hurt.

Then it hit me, what he had done.

My reflexes kicked in before thought did.

I shoved at his chest and kicked his leg. He staggered backward, caught completely off guard, his balance slipping. He stumbled a few steps and nearly fell.
