After I climbed back into the front seat, my whole body felt hot. Not from the cold or the wet clothes. From something else entirely.

The awareness of what just happened. Of being half-naked in the backseat. Of knowing Morgan was right there, only his jacket between us.

It felt awkward. But also exciting. My heart hadn't slowed down yet.

I tried to focus on something else. Anything else. But my mind kept going back to the moment. To the vulnerability. To the intimacy of it.
