Morgan pulled out his phone. He opened his email and showed the guard a long list of receipts. Each one had a store name, a timestamp, and a total amount. The guard looked at the screen. His face changed from suspicion to embarrassment.

"I apologise," the guard said. He looked at me. "There must have been a misunderstanding."

"There was," Morgan said. His voice was cold and sharp. "Someone made a false accusation against her. I want to know who."
