Evelyn’s POV

I sat there gripping the edge of the bench, my thoughts spinning in every direction. Everything felt too much, and yet not enough to explain how I’d made it through all this.

Dr. Linus gave me a kind look. “Don’t let your thoughts spiral, Evelyn,” he said gently. “We’re all children of the Moon. Maybe you’ve been blessed. That might be why you’re still okay.”
