“Dominic? Please talk to me.” I said, softly.

For a moment, there was nothing. Then his voice came through the door. “My wolf… he wants you, Evie. Desperately. I’m afraid if I don’t cool off, he might hurt you.”

I nodded, even though he couldn’t see me. I lay back, pulling the blanket over myself, my mind finally settling from the whirlwind of moments before. I hoped he was really okay.
