The next morning, sunlight crept through the curtains, nudging me awake. I stretched beneath the sheets, my body sore but not in the way I expected. Blinking, I slowly registered that my underwear was still on.

I lay still, heat rushing to my face. So… nothing happened? After everything last night, the kisses, his touch, the way my body had all but begged? I had been sure. Was I not attractive enough? Or had Dominic been too strong-willed to let himself give in?
