“Cass, how do you know he hates sharing rooms?”

“Why do you and Evelyn’s husband seem… close?”

Cass didn’t blink. He slid his hands into his pockets, calm as ever. “Because I read the guest forms,” he said, tapping his temple. “Manager habits. Dominic wrote no shared lodging in big letters. I notice details. That’s my job.” He gave a crooked smile. “Relax. I don’t keep secrets; I keep schedules.”
