Dominic sat in silence, while Cass leaned against the edge of the desk, his expression unusually serious.

Finally, Cass blurted out. “I want to make a deal with you.”

Dominic’s sharp eyes narrowed slightly, the authority in them making Cass’s wolf stir. “A deal?” he asked flatly.

Cass nodded. “Yes. I’ll keep your secret, your true identity. In exchange, you keep mine. You don’t tell anyone about… Teresa.”
