I couldn’t stop worrying about Dominic. Even after Cass tried to reassure me, saying Dominic would calm down once things settled.

When Dominic finally returned, I rushed forward and wrapped my arms around him. He stiffened for a moment, then his hand came up to the back of my head, holding me close.

“It’s alright,” he murmured, his voice steady. “You don’t need to worry anymore.”
