When Aiden finally sat up and the color returned to his cheeks, I felt like I was witnessing a miracle for the first time. He rubbed his chest as if feeling for the pressure that had been there, the huge weight that had kept him from breathing easy.

“It’s… lighter, my chest is much lighter” he said, voice hoarse and full of disbelief. “The pressure’s gone. I can breathe.”
