People continued in whispers when the shaman and his wife reached Rue. Their voices carried clearly across the hall, a light re-union among friends.

I stood rooted to the same spot, my glass of champagne growing warm in my hand as every camera in the room shifted to their direction. Reporters whispered among themselves, some even daring to raise their lenses toward me.
