I could not believe what I was hearing.

"Are you certain?" Flair asked the messenger as she steadied her horse.

"Yes, my lady," the warrior replied, wiping sweat from his face. "He arrived at the border two hours ago with five hundred soldiers. He says he will attack at sunset if you do not surrender the fugitives."

I smirked when I heard that last word. Funny how an Alpha to be can turn into a fugitive in the space of a few weeks.

"How long until sunset?" I asked.
