Selvara's POV

We rode until we found an abandoned hunting cabin deep in the forest. Zyros checked inside to make sure it was safe before helping me down from the horse. My legs were shaky and I nearly fell but he caught me.

"Easy. You have been through a lot." He said as he carried me in his arms.

"We both have," I replied.

Inside the cabin was dusty but dry. There was a fireplace with wood already stacked beside it. Zyros got a fire going while I collapsed onto the single bed in the corner. ...
