"Thank you all for celebrating with me." Cara beamed, raising a glass of champagne up as as she stood to address her guests. "And to my wonderful daughter-in-law, cheers to you for making me happy. I pray your union with my son lasts."

I winced inwardly at Cara's public toast but kept my expression blank as I raised my glass up to her.

"To start the festivity, I would like my son and my daughter to have the first dance." Cara said, her gaze pinned on me.
