"I will be in my study." I said to Nora as we got back home, heading off without a glance at her.

I felt unhinged the more I stayed in her presence and I knew that wasn't her fault but that of the aunties in my family. They had messed with my head by gushing that she and I made a cute couple and I hated that I found myself agreeing with them. The only thing I needed to fix myself and cure the stupid acceptance of intimacy in my head was to throw myself into work.
