The room felt like a dream I didn’t want to wake from, the faint hum of music in the background, and Doman’s gaze fixed on me like I was the only thing that existed.

He leaned closer again. When his lips touched mine, my mind went completely blank. All the noise, the tension, the questions was dissolved. His kiss wasn’t gentle this time, it was hungry and slow at the same time, the kind that pulled every breath right out of me.
