Chapter 3 : Not Just Another Girl
Randy
As the future Alpha of the dark moon pack, it's my duty to prepare ahead of time. I have been on Alpha training for months now, a traditional rite of passage for future leaders of the pack. But today, I have returned back, safe, stronger and ready to return to school.
with Zac and Seth. My two best friends besides me, we made our way towards the Arena hall.
“Here we go with those dramas for…..” Zac started, but before he could complete his statement, screamed erupted from nowhere in particular and before we knew it, it became rampant and spread everywhere like a wildfire.
Now do you get why he made that comment?
I can't even attend school without it becoming a public event. These dramatic girls will always make me the center of attention. Like I'm some celebrity. Which… I guess I am. Obviously.
“Ohh my gosh, it's Randy!”
Yeah, yeah I get it. I get the fact that I'm hot, I'm everything they fantasize about, but do I enjoy it? No!!
I mean, can't they just crush in peace without pulling up this act? It's frustrating.
Forget the fact that I'm hot, and that I'm every woman's dream but if I wasn't the Alpha heir, they wouldn't be drooling too much.
A low sighed escaped my lips. Just as something different hit me.
A scent.
Strong, sweet, wild fire, so alluring that it smells like fresh rain and burning cinnamon.
My eyes scanned the crowd and located its way to my girlfriend. Cassie. the one I've been looking for.
She jumped into my arms, squealing like an excited puppy. I didn't need her words to know she missed me.
“I miss you so much.” She said, her eyes glowing with excitement. The scent hit me up again, that I couldn't think straight nor could I respond to Cassie. The scent wasn't coming from her, but somewhere else.
Someone behind her.
I turned my head and I saw her. The girl whose scent had thrown me completely off balance. And the only one that's still catching my attention right now.
She stood at the edge of the crowd, trying to blend in. Her body was shivering, slightly hunched, like someone who didn't belong here.
And within ten seconds, our eyes met, making my entire body froze. And my heart is beating like a drum.
Time paused and just like that, everything changed. Including my body. The way it was reacting to her.
For the first time in months, I felt my d**k react without being touched. Without a single dirty word.
My stomach did that weird flip thing I thought I'd outgrown.
But the way she was trembling, the way her body was shivering screams she's an omega even without being told.
Ohhh moon goddess, why!
Why her? Do you want me to be mocked?
She's beautiful, sure. She's gorgeous full curves. Soft skin, a face sculpted by the gods. but not someone who meets my standards. She's too low, weak and powerless.
As the future Alpha of this pack, I need someone strong by my side. a Luna which I basically thought it'll be Cassie, because she embodies the characters of a Luna. Of a queen who can lead the people.
My eyes smoldered with a fiery rage as I glared at her one more time before storming out of the hell with my best friends.
“What happened Randy?” Zac asked the moment we got outside. How do I explain to them that I just got cursed by the moon goddess?
“I noticed your expression changed when you saw that girl. Was she some slut you used to screw and didn't know she was a student here?”
I smirked at the accusations, but deep down I was offended, that he'd even think I would sleep with someone like her.
An omega!!
“No!”
I rolled my eyes, shooting him an angry gaze.
“That's right, but I don't fuck some lowly life omega like her. She's way beneath me. I wonder how she got into this school in the first place.”
I won't practically call myself a womaniser. I just seem to love women and they're always available whenever I want them. That's the luxury of being a celebrity and being known as the Alpha heir.
Elodie
Could my day get any worse?
One minute, the hottest guy in school is standing just a few feet away from you, his deep glowing golden eyes piercing into your souls like he could see you.
Next, his expression shifts. His eyes smoldered with a fiery rage, his body trembling with panic and he walked away.
Then, not long after, you're being interrogated by his girlfriend who suspects something is going on between you and her man.
And the next few minutes you walk outside to take in the fresh air only to bump into him and his friends talking about you.
“Although she's pretty, she's basically not my type. She's weak, an Omega.”
I heard the words, clear and plain, coming from the one guy who I thought was hot but not anymore. Do they really have to remind me every time of my status?
I know I'm weak, low and powerless but what should I do about it? Should I pretend to be something I'm not?
This entire place is messing with my head. Indeed, I shouldn't be here. I don't belong here. Why do I keep deceiving myself that things could get better?
“I wonder how a lowlife like her made it here.” One of his friends sneered, and my stomach twisted into knots. The tears that had threatened to come out finally came with speed.
“Well, well! Look who's eavesdropping on a conversation that doesn't concern her.” A clapping sound came in, followed by a mocking voice. A voice which I would recognise even in my sleep.
My pulse raced as fear clawed at my throat. It was Cassie and her friends.
“Fuck!”
She just pulled their attention. Randy's attention. Why must she have to be the witch fashioned against me in this school?
“Why are you everywhere?” she questioned, her teeth seething in anger.
“Speak Omega. You don't get to be quiet when the queen is talking to you.” her friend snapped in, smacking my head with her handbag, which made me flinch.
Can she just leave me alone? I buried my face on the ground, afraid to look her in the eyes. Maybe if I show signs of respect, she might back off
“Tell me the truth, what's going on with you and Randy? The way he looked at you, he had never looked at me that way?” She said in a hushed tone.
Here we go again. I can't believe she's still suspecting we have something together even though I told her there's nothing going on between me and him.
Did she see me in her dreams today? Reasons why she's tormenting me?
“You should definitely teach this bitch a lesson. She's doing too much already.” her other friend added, making my heart skip as I saw her smiling devilishly, like she had come up with the perfect plan to get rid of me.
My chest tightened with despair as I realized what she's about to do. She stopped a passing girl and snapped the ice cream from her hands.
I don't need a soothsayer to tell me what's about to happen next.
I turned my head slightly and saw Randy staring at me from a distance. Would he be my knight in shiny armor? Would he step in like what the popular boy in school usually does?
Or would he let me burn? Humiliated and shamed?
