He tried to punch me again but I dodged it and grabbed hold of his hands tightly. “Father, you can't continue to do this,” I screamed at him, trying to calm myself. “I'm not a child anymore. I'm an adult.”

Then I pushed him backward, the force I had applied almost resulted in him falling and hitting his head against the floor but I was quick to catch up before that could happen.

I just needed him to understand he can't continue to hit me ...
