~Zayne’s POV~

My chest loosened a little at the sight of her awake. I barely noticed Carol as she walked up to me and whispered,

“Behave yourself around my bestfriend, Zayne. For God sake I can’t believe you two are a thing already.” And just like that, she slipped through the door and left.

A tiny smile tugged at my lips. Carol had every reason to doubt I was right for Teyana. I didn’t have many great records—not any I regretted, though.

Maybe I did regret only one thing…
