VELDANA
"What? That's illegal" I protested, my instincts kicked instantly. He casually took a napkin to wipe his hand as he turns to look at me.
"It's not" he adjusted himself on the chair. "It only means you'd only work for me"
I flinched widening my eyes at him and then scoffed unbelievably.
"I'm your daughter's friend"
He shrugs and he hadn't even touched a meal.
"Of course you are and I treat them all this way" he dragged my chair closer to him and then turned to look at me.
His breath, his fragrance, his eyes and that cocky smile...I want to throw this feeling away.
If he treats them this way... does it mean he...he has fucked with them when they demanded it from him.
An irritation wears me now as I just couldn't even tell who's at fault between him and his wife.
"Or are thinking of anything else princess?"
My heart skipped faster as his lips were just an inch away from me.
"No...just stay...your distance"
"Or what?"
Fuck. He's just pushing my buttons and my pussy squirms. I was trying not to throw my hands around him and get kissed again.
"Or...I'd run away?"
He took a quick sweep at me, his tongue licked his upper teeth, as he bite his lower lip and then smirked.
"And I'd always find you"
"Mr. Tyler...boundaries... please, it's..."
"Boss and employee. I understand but what if I don't want that?" He questioned.
I became speechless as I licked my lower lip subconsciously.
He bent his head slightly to kiss me but I placed my palm on his chest to push him away.
He rolled his eyes heavenward, wearing that disappointed look that makes him look cute.
I also want a kiss but I don't want to complicate matters.
"If this isn't about business...then I'd just leave..."
He moved his hand to the small of my back, attempting to kiss me again but I pushed him back, panting heavily.
Mr. Tyler pout his lips and he heaved a sigh.
"Stop. I'm not like other girls and what happened at your mansion dies there"
"What if I don't want it to die there?"
Oh my world. What do I do?
He grabbed my jaw as I turned pale as sweat beads on my forehead.
"Princess. I'd be plain with you. Ever since that night, it's just you I want and I don't care if you know Lena or not. Or if you're scared because we are in the same organization"
He took my hands, squeezing them and his eyes never left mine, like they hypnotized me.
"I'd sign it off in your name and if you don't want me in that company, I'd switch. Princess, just become mine"
As he spoke, my heart palpates and I was lost. I also want him, to be cuddled in those arms of his and get ruined for real by him.
Even now, my eyes were lusting after his body and I was feeling all wet.
"You're in my head and I don't want to get rid of you...I want to spend my last..."
I shoot up from my chair, pertrified at his confession and I didn't want to hear details anymore.
"I'm sorry Mr. Tyler but I'd reject your offer"
While saying that, my hand had already grabbed my bag and I was trying to step away.
"Name your price"
He was quick with that and his deep tone had me swallowing hard.
"I'm not a commodity"
"We can make it a secret"
"Neither sir" I snapped already reaching for the door but Zane was swift to obstruct my path.
"I think you should listen to him" he beckons which had me more terrified.
Looking at him from up this close, I can only notice how big he is.
With biceps the size of my thighs and I realized he's actually pretty hot.
Thick jet-black hair damped from exertion, olive skin and rugged good looks.
"Do you hate me?" Mr. Tyler's voice snaps in and this time, it sounded a little sober and heartbreaking.
"I...I don't. It's just that I'm not ready"
And it might never be you. It breaks me too to turn down this opportunity to be with the man who has always have my heart.
If he knows the real me, he'd never accept me and from earlier when Lena called, I can tell she was really excited over something about her parents.
I don't want to come in between and possibly, his wife must have changed a new leaf now.
"I don't have much time left" he sadly muttered as those eyes of his traced mine.
It's like he was trying to pass a message but I just don't want to understand.
Time for what? Time to reunite with his wife and daughter and then what becomes of me when I fall deeply in love?
"You'd find someone else sir...but I'm just not the one"
He stood up and paced closer to me fluidly and gracefully that I guess even the floor adores his walk.
He closed up the space between us and when I stepped back, his hand went around my waist as he pulled me to himself.
My breasts pressed against his chest, my breath hitched, and I had goosebumps.
Him being so close makes me forget everything, every word I intended to say as his eyes darkens at me.
"Tell me you don't want me too, tell me that you don't feel what I feel"
His voice...it sounded like a sedative drug which I'm trying to get over and I stared transfixed, forcing myself to deny this feeling.
My body shook in his arms as we just staring at each other.
His eyes darkens at me as he run his other fingers on my arm and a silent whimper escaped my lips.
"I don't want you Mr. Tyler"
"Princess"
"Mr. Tyler. I mean it. I have no future with you. I don't have a thing for older men and you're aware I was drunk and right now, you're taking advantage of me!" I protested brawling my eyes at him.
His eyelid drops as his grip on me soften. He looked too startled to even say a word and I pushed his hand away from me.
Stepping away from him, I avoided his gaze that expressed his emotions.
"Thanks for the dinner and I'd send my resignation later. It's nice meeting you. Mr. Tyler" I concluded with a bow at him and then I turned to take my leave.
Zane intended to stop me again but I guess Mr. Tyler gestured to him and I paced out of the restaurant with tears welling up in my eyes.
When I had stepped outside the restaurant, I turned to look at Mr. Tyler, he was still staring at me and I was shaking, feeling horrible.
"I'm sorry" i whispered like he could hear me from the distance he was. He didn't move from that spot neither did I because my legs were becoming heavy.
However, I forced myself to leave. I guess in the end, I never got to work in the company.
I'm not venturing into a dangerous relationship, I still need to heal.

I trudged a long the deserted road, fortunately, my sneaker were helpful because of the sandy pavement and I didn't have to struggle to keep my balance.
The island's lush greenery looks as though it mocks me as I replayed the disaster that was my proposal.
It felt as though the taxi drivers were on strike as I could find none yet and I was getting exhausted from the long walk.
Both physically and mentally, to worsen it, the sun was against me, scorching not only my skin but my soul.
I just want to get off this island and go home.
At last, I spotted a taxi in the distance, and it's bright yellow paint face me hope to hasten my pace as I waved my hand to haul it.
But as I approached, the driver looked right through me and speed past without stopping.
I cursed under my breath wondering if I was invisible.
Nevertheless, I kept walking, to avoid the one person I don't want to see. I was starting to lose hope when I heard the purr of an engine behind me.
I swallowed, knowing that I didn't have to look to know who it was.
The sleek black BMW pulled up beside me, and I felt a surge of annoyance. Mr. Tyler rolled down the window, a smirk plastered on his face.
Doesn't he know how to give up? My legs are dying all because of him and now he's showing up.
"Get in, Veldana," he said, his voice echoed.
I shot him a glare, but he raised a brows at me.
"I'm not getting in," I said, firmly but I knew I never meant that. My eyes graze at him in that fancy car, his skin being carass with the AC and even though he wasn't smiling and looked cold, he was a temptation.
"You're going to walk all the way back to the city?" He mused as though worried, as his eyes crackles like they were accessing me.
I shrugged, trying to look nonchalant. "I'd rather walk than spend another minute with you."
That smirk of his only grew wider. "I'm not giving you a choice"
Before I could react, he stepped out of the car and strode towards me.
I backed away, but he was too fast, scooping me up in his arms and carrying me to the car.
"What the...! Put me down!" I struggled against him, but he was like a rock, unmovable.
I didn't even know what to think about as I tried to refrain from him but it was futile.
He ignored me, opening the door and placing me inside like I was a doll. "You're getting in, one way or another," he said, his voice annoyingly calm.
I glared at him as he got back in the driver's seat. "You're insane," I spit.
He just gave me that infuriating smirk still on his face. "I'm just getting you home, princess. You're welcome."
