Elizabeth’s POV

The weekend felt longer than it should. The rain had stopped, but the air still smelled like thunder. I sat by the window, watching water drops slide down the glass, each one looking like a tear I didn’t let fall. I hadn’t heard from Sebastian. Not a word. Not even a message.
