Alexander held me for a while longer before pulling back slightly. I looked up at him and said. "You should go for now. I want to go and check up on Damien."

His eyes flashed with jealousy, his jaw clenching. "Please don't let him be all touchy.” He said, half-joking but mostly serious.

I couldn't help but laugh, the sound lightening the tension. "Can you leave?" I teased, giving him a gentle push.

He smirked, lingering for a second before nodding. "Fine, be careful." ...
