I was tempted to go back, but I hesitated.

My wolf was pacing around inside me, and I knew that Nicolle had gotten to her.

"Perhaps another hour wouldn't hurt." I said to him.

However, he wasn't having that.

"It sounds serious." He countered.

"It always sounds serious." I retorted.

There was no way for me to convince him to drop it.
