I gasp, blinking through the blur of water dripping into my eyes. My skin prickles from the freezing cold. My teeth chatter as I pull the duvet tighter around me, though it’s useless. It’s already drenched.

Three figures stand at the foot of my bed. Cassian in the center, his mismatched eyes glinting in the faint light, his smile as sharp as a blade.

My throat feels like it’s closing, but I still manage to croak out,

“What the hell is wrong with you people?”
