Tanya had walked away from my side to the other end of the dungeon, where a small opening allowed the light of day into the room.

The yellow light from the opening fell on one side of her dark face, giving her a powerful outlook.

“But tell me, Teresa,” Tanya's voice echoed through the dungeon. “ Did you seriously believe what I told you?”

I didn't answer. My mind was busy going through the great lengths Tanya and her colleagues went through just to deceive me.
