Four days had passed since the Verya incident, and though my head still ached when I turned too quickly, the worst of the pain had faded. My body had healed faster than I expected, maybe a benefit of wolf blood as well, even if mine seemed useless. I hadn’t tried taking off my necklace ever since then, but it bothered me a lot that I couldn’t remember that memory, which came to me the day I tried to take off the necklace.
