“Have you gone deaf Beatrice? I told you that she just lost consciousness. What's hard to understand about that?”

My world, which had been swallowed instantly by darkness after Alpha Corvin pushed me, was pierced by his troubled voice snapping at my other tormentor.

As my vision slowly returned to me, I still didn't see them anywhere but I could hear their voices which meant they were probably right outside the door in the hallway that connected back to the main bar.
