Freya's pov

Two weeks before the planned mating ceremony I wake up feeling wrong and I can't explain what wrong means except that my skin feels too tight and my body temperature seems higher than normal and everything aches.

"You okay?" Sebastian asks when he notices me lying very still instead of getting up.

"I don't know," I admit. "I feel strange."

He puts his hand on my forehead and frowns. "You're burning up and we should get the doctor."

"It's probably just a flu," I argue even ...
