Logan's pov

Two weeks before the mating ceremony I find Freya sitting on the bathroom floor at three in the morning staring at her phone with tears streaming down her face and my wolf immediately goes on alert because our mate is in distress.

"What's wrong?" I ask as I sink down beside her on the cold tile.

"Nothing," Freya says but her voice breaks on the word. "Everything and I don't know."

"That's not an answer," I point out gently.
