Abby
"You sure you don't want any wine?" I giggle at Lyla's question to Ghost. He turns for the hundredth time since trying to work on this old home's dishwasher and stares at her.
"How the hell does Shane put up with you?" A round of chuckles sets all of us off when Lyla's grabs her chest and pushes up her boobs.
"You sure you don't want any wine? I don't know about you ladies, but I feel mighty unattractive around Ghost right now. I mean, c'mon honey, you've got four beautiful, half wasted women, surrounding you, your shirtless trying to fix something, it all adds up to some pretty baby makin'."
Ghost blows out a breath and shakes his head, then goes back to work.
Candice, Lyla, Shawna and I are all sitting around waiting on the guys get to get back from their church meeting. Chance left this morning but not without a kiss that I can still feel on my lips. I don't know what to make of what happened last night. Part of me worries he may regret it and tell me we can never go that far again. Another part of me wants to jump on him the minute he walks into this house.
When Candice had suggested that we try and make a day of it while the guys were handling business, we didn't know that Ghost would be watching us.
Poor guy. I can only imagine how he got roped into that.
"Oh leave the poor man alone Ly, I'm sure he isn't very happy being our eye candy for the day." Candice says then cover her mouth with her hand." We all laugh at her. Candy has never had eyes for anyone but Austin, and as much as I know she would never do anything, it just goes to show just how gorgeous Ghost really is. His tall, dark, and secretive expressions just call on a girl. He make look scary on the outside, but I've had hundreds of conversations with him. He's sweet as hell but hard and deep. It's quite a contradiction.
"Candy, you sure you don't want any wine? I've never known you not to drink some when we all get together." Candice blushes at Shawna's question causing me to narrow my eyes on her. Hmmm.
"No, I'm good. Just not feeling it today."
"You're no fun." Lyla smirks towards her.
"Are you worried about Austin?" I ask bringing the whole room down to the gloomy column.
Way to go Abby.
"A little. I know he can handle himself, and the guys are a force to be reckon with, I'm just a little worried about that Alberts guy. Seems he would do anything to attack the Warriors." She says looking at each of us. We have all had our run in with John Alberts.
The girls know about what I went through. They know about that guy touching me and how he is connected with the sex trafficking ring, but I wonder if they know about our newest threat or why the guys had their church meeting at Austin and Candy's house today instead of the clubhouse.
"I'm worried about that too. I almost didn't come today because I didn't want to leave Adrianna, but I knew I needed to trust in Shane. She's with my mother and sister right now, and they have one of prospects watching over, but still, after what happened and me almost losing her, it took a while for me to not to even be in the same room as her."
Adrianna was kidnapped a few months back by a group of men feigning to be an MC that wanted to threaten the Warriors. With the help of the Road Kings, they were able to find her just in time, but knowing who Alberts secretly works with now, I get shivers thinking of what they had planned for that perfect little girl.
"I'm glad you did Lyla. I'm proud of you, and I think we all needed this." Shawna adds, raising her glass in the air. We all match her gesture, even Candice with her glass of water, and clink in the middle.
"So, now that the mushy stuff is done and over with, how are you and Ghost doing Abby?" Lyla smirks my way then winks. I know I'm blushing because the girls begin howling and whistling. Shawna even begins singing about me and Ghost siting in a tree.
"Shh. he can hear you." I whisper, causing the girls to laugh harder. I don't know when everyone started to determine that there was something going on between Ghost and I. We have always just been friends, and after everything that went down recently with Chance and I, I'm not about to oblige to their teasing.
"I can totally see you two going at it." Shawna chimes in and Candice almost chokes on her water.
"Eww Shawna, you have a strange mind." I smile.
"Well if it's not Mr. Ghost that has gotten that beautiful glow to surround you, I wonder if another certain badass biker is causing it." I look down at Lyla's observation of me. I felt different this morning when I woke up. I was nervous at first, but when Chance showed me the same affection that he did last night, it did something to my self-confidence.
Before they could all cackle from my non discreet answer, Ghost comes rushing in and right over to Candice. We all stand and circle him.
Something is wrong, and judging by Ghost's pale face, it has something to do with our guys.
"Ghost what"
"Need you ladies to come with me."
"Wait, what? Where are we going?" Lyla demands.
"Clubhouse."
"I thought it wasn't safe?" I ask with a small voice. something is defiantly wrong.
"Thought so too. But Max called, needs us all there now."
"What aren't you telling us Ghost?" Shawna asks stepping up to the giant. Being only five foot two inches, she looks extremely small compared to him.
Ghost blows out a deep breath and pinches the bridge of his nose. "Alright, you girls will know soon enough anyway. FBI just raided your house Candy, right in the middle of church. Austin, Bone and Chance were all taken in."
"What?" We all yell at the same time. Candice immediately places her hand on her mouth in a gasp and sits down on the armchair she was currently using.
My heart drops at the thought of Chance being arrested in any form.
"Wait, ladies we don't know anything yet. Candy let's get to the clubhouse in your SUV. I'll drive and Ghost will trail. We can talk to Max and find out what's going on." Shawna steadies us and we silently move to get our things and to the car.
"Stay on route. Don't veer off. I'll be right behind you." Ghost says to Shawna. She nods her head and gets into the driver's side. I follow along and sit in the back with a now crying Candice while Lyla sits in the passenger seat, immediately on the phone with her mother.
It doesn't take us long to get to the clubhouse and when we pull up, Max opens the driver's side door for his girlfriend and envelops her in a hug. I spot Shane grab Lyla as we all shuffle out and head inside.
"Adrianna?" Lyla asks and Shane shakes his head.
"Safe darlin'. Got one of the prospects watchin' over your mom's house."
"What about your mom?" Shawna peers at Max with innocence, causing him to hold her tighter to him.
"Don't worry about mom. She's good." He states then looks over at his newly appointed sister in law. "You good red?"
Candice simply nods but tears fall from her eyes. Max pulls her in as well and she sobs onto his cut. I look around the room and feel out of place. Everyone has someone to hold them, even Candice, who is in my place, gets Max. Both Chance and my father are gone, for who knows how long, making me feel lonely.
"What happened?" Ghost asks from behind me. "Where is everyone?"
"Told them to head home. Don't know if this place is completely safe yet, waiting on Torque to do his thing, but I didn't want the feds to be there when you all pulled up. Figured here was better." Max shrugs then sits Candice down on one of the sofas seconds later doing the same with Shawna. "We were wrapping up church when they busted in. Said they had a warrant, searched the place, obviously didn't find shit, but took Austin and Chance in. Bone started being Bone, causing a drunken ruckus, so they took him in as well."
"Oh dad." I whisper aloud.
"What now Max?" Candice asks wiping at her tears.
"We wait Candy. Austin will find a way to get word out to us, I have no doubt about that. Have some faith in your man. We're going to get out of this." Candice nods her head and the room becomes silent.
I look around, taking in what I used to call home most of my childhood. From the living area with every kind of game console and large flat screen television, to the enormous kitchen that a professional chef would love. Down the hall where I would chase after Austin, Max and Shane and each of the brother's bedrooms that have come and gone. I've been absent lately from the club because I was trying to distance myself from the pain of not only not having my father, but Chance. These last few months of coming back into the club have been bittersweet.
"I can't believe this has happened." Shawna says looking up at everyone.
"What if they have something on him Max?" Candice chimes in as well.
"Okay, no use in getting ourselves all worked up, we will give it a couple of hours, then I'll take you home Candy." Max announces reassuring his sister-in-law.
"You should all stay. I think it would be easier if we were all together."
"Adrianna is spending the night with my mother, so it works out for us." Lyla says looking up to her husband. It was a shock when they announced their marriage after they eloped but after all they had been through. We knew they deserved some private happiness.
"Then let's get moving. Ghost, let's talk for a second." Max indicates with his chin for Ghost to follow suit and I watch as the two of them walk over and have an intense conversation.
Half an hour later, we all pile out into Candy's car while the guys follow on their bikes and head to Candice and Austin's home. Worry guts at me not knowing what is happening to Chance and my father.

Her bright green eyes shimmer with tears as I call out to her. I'm a child once more, watching as the man pointing a gun at her pulls her further into him.
"Please" My sobbing becomes hysterical as the man cramming his slimy hands against my neck screams at me once again to shut up.
"Cherry!" My father calls out from the background somewhere, but I can't see him, can't take my eyes off my mother.
"Mommy."
"I told you to shut the fuck up." The man's hand lowers further into my shorts and when I try to wiggle out of his grasp he turns me around to face him.
He's not the same as before. He's different. Dead eyes. He's the man that kidnapped me.
"Mommy" I whisper facing him. I'm transported to the basement and am once again chained to the ceiling.
"Call me whatever you want baby." He says but something is different, he didn't speak before, not to me, not the entire time he held me. So why is he speaking now?
I close my eyes as he reaches me and lowers my dress cusping my boobs in his palm and squeezing. I cringe and jerk my body to move but his hand does not falter.
"Open your goddamn eyes!" I do as I'm told and watch as his smirk grows into an all-out smile.
"Someone help me. Mommy. please help me." Where is she? I just saw her. She was just here. Did that man kill her? Is he still here?
"I'm not your mommy, but I'm sure I'll get to her next. Now hold on for the ride." He quickly uncuffs me, then throws me on the ground. I don't have but seconds to react before he pounces on me, pulling my clothes off and rapping me.
I scream, I scream through every second of the pain. I scream until I have nothing left but the empty shell I saw in my mother's eyes as that man blew her brains out.
"Abby?"
She's gone. I know she is. I can't feel her anymore. Can't feel either of my parents anymore.
"Abby, baby wake up."
"She's gone."
"Abbywhose gone? Baby open your eyes. Abby it's Chance wake up."
My eyes fly open to see Chance above me. I scramble off the bed and into the attached bathroom. I vomit into the toilet and hear Chance curse behind me. My hair immediately gets pulled up as I let everything out in the small toilet bowl.
"Fuck, you okay?" He asks once I finish. Handing me a towel he bends down and tilts my chin up, so my eyes meet his. I can feel my tears continuing to fall.
"You're here." My hands automatically reach out for his face as more tears rush to the edge of my eyes.
"Just got in."
"And my dad?"
"All hear baby. Austin too. Everything is going to be alright." I nod my head then turn and spot a toothbrush still in its packaging. Pulling it open I make quick work of brushing my teeth and rinsing my mouth. I don't bother looking in the mirror. My hair is most likely tangled and matted, and I can feel the grimy sweat covering my face and body.
"Want to talk about it?" I hear him ask from behind me, but I shake my head.
"No, just a nightmare. I'm alright."
"Abby"
"Really Chance, I'm alright."
Turning, I stare Chance in the eyes and take him in. He looks tired, haggard even. His clothes are wrinkled and rumpled, and his eyes looks red.
"What happened Chance?" He takes my hands in his and walks me out to the bed. Laying me down along with him I watch as he stares right at the ceiling. "Chance, please don't shut me out. I couldn't take it."
"Not shutting you out baby. Austin wants to address everyone in a few hours. So I'm going to lay here and get some rest and you're going to lay your pretty ass right beside me because fuck if I didn't miss your body pressed up against mine."
I smile, relieved that he isn't shutting me out. I glance at the clock against the far wall and see it's four in the morning.
No wonder he is so tired.
Once I hear his breathing even out, I turn to observe him. He looks young and innocent, a look I've never seen on him. Almost as if he needs me near him to help fend off his own nightmares. I lean in and kiss his cheek then lay back and fall into a peaceful slumber.
I wake alone. Peering out of the window behind the bed, noticing the sun shining bright. Jumping up, I change into my skinny jeans and cute black half sleeve top. I use my finger to detangle my blonde hair and head out where I can hear everyone.
Austin and Candice are cuddled up in the far armchair, Candice on top of his lap, while Max Shawna and Lyla sit on the sofa. Shane is on the kitchen making coffee and Chance is standing next to the fireplace with his arms crossed. The house is clean compared to how it looked when we came here last night. There was clear evidence of the FBI breaking in and going through the house, but this morning, everything is back to normal.
"Morning Kadaby." Max shouts casing everyone to look my way.
"Morning." I whisper. Chance spots me and immediately walks over to me.
"Alright, now that Abby is awake, anyone want to tell me what the hell last night was about?" Shawna asks starring up at Max.
"That, my beautiful girl, was called an orgasm. If you can remember I gave you three of them." He jokes then cries out in pain when Shawna elbows him.
"Yes, I was wondering what that howling noise was. I figured it was some rabid dog, but now I know it was just Max." Lyla laughs taking her coffee from Shane when he offers it.
"Oh you're one to talk, I heard you and Shane going at it all night. I'm surprised the walls didn't fall down with all that banging." Candice states.
"Alright that's enough. Last thing I want is to know everyone fucked in my house last night. Jesus." Austin yells out rubbing his eyes of the images now clearly cemented into his memory.
"Aww c'mon Austin. You mean you don't want to walk into the guest bedroom and know my dick was all out and about?" Max teases causing everyone to laugh.
"You alright?" Chance asks me in a quiet tone. Memories come back from last night of him taking care of me and sleeping alongside me.
"Yes. I'm just glad you are all alright."
"So are you going to tell us what the hell happened yesterday?" Lyla asks looking over at Austin.
"Feds busted in here. Told us all to get down and that they had a warrant for searching the place. Pulled me and Chance in, wanted to talk to us privately. Bone started creating a scene, wasn't good for them, took him in too. Kept us in a holding cell. Asked about Alberts and if we had a reason for him to be after us. Didn't tell them shit."
"Why not? Isn't this the time for us to be honest? They could help us?" Candice asks looking at her husband.
"No. I need you all to trust us. Not going to be easy, and these next few weeks you're gonna feel suffocated, but leave it to us to handle this."
Silence glooms around the room until Candice stands as well. All eyes land on her as she takes Austin's hands in hers.
"We do trust in you Austin and we know things won't be easy for you all, but I thought I would share some good news." I feel Chance's hands tighten in mine and I look over to see a genuine smile coming from him.
"Babe what?"
"I'm pregnant Austin. You're going to be a daddy."
Austin's gaping mouth transforms into a wide smile as he picks up his wife and swings her around. He leans down on his knees, eye level with her belly eye level to his new son or daughter and kisses her belly lightly.
"Fuck babe. This is the best news I've ever received."
Everyone circles them and congratulations are thrown around. I laugh when it's my turn to hug Candice and I hear Lyla yell at her about how she should have known before Austin.
"Congrats guys. I'm really happy for you."
"Thank Abby." Candice hugs me and welcome the love I feel surrounding me in this room.
Looking around for Chance, who is still in his same spot beside the fireplace, I smile as he winks at me.
Yeah, I think things are finally turning around.
