"This is where you grew up?" Mack asked, his tone skeptical.

Jane had him stop the car on the outskirts of her parent's farm. They'd entered Amish land several miles ago. Mack had sworn at his first sight of a horse and buggy causing Jane to erupt in laughter. He'd nearly swerved into the ditch, cranking his head around to stare in disbelief.

"Yes," Jane said smiling, "This is where I was born and raised until I left when I was sixteen."
