Angelo blinked. "Were you watching...?" He trailed off.
"Don't ask questions you don't want answers to."
Angelo giggled. "You're a secret perv."
Adrien groaned.
"Say one more word and I'm kicking you out."
Angelo smiled and cuddled closer.
"You're warm, senior."
Adrien rolled his eyes. "Shut up and sleep, Little Angel."
--
Adrien stirred awake to the soft weight pressed against his chest.
Warm.
Too warm.
He blinked, adjusting to the light seeping through the pale blue curtains. The first thing he saw?
A mop of fluffy hair tucked under his chin. Arms wrapped around his torso like he was some life-sized body pillow. And in between them, squished and slightly drooling, was a plushie teddy bear with a crooked smile.
Muffin.
Adrien's eyes widened. "You've got to be kidding me..."
Angelo let out a sleepy whimper and snuggled in tighter, face scrunched like a baby refusing to let go of sleep.
Adrien could feel the heat creeping up his neck.
This junior, was literally using him as a human teddy. He looked down again. Yep. Muffin's pink bowtie was poking into his ribs. Adrien cleared his throat.
No response.
He tried again, louder. "Oi, Little angel. Wake up."
Still no response.
So Adrien did the only thing he could think of. He gently poked the boy's cheek. "If you keep drooling on me, I swear..."
Angelo blinked awake slowly, confusion in his eyes. His lashes fluttered as he looked up, realization dawning fast and hard.
"Oh my gosh!" He shot up, face burning. "I...I didn't mean to! I swear I always sleep alone! Or with Muffin! I didn't mean to hug you too!"
Adrien rubbed his temples. "Whatever. Just... get off."
Angelo clutched Muffin tightly. "It was a nightmare," he mumbled.
Adrien paused. "Nightmare?"
"Yeah. I get them. A lot."
Something tugged at Adrien's chest. Pity? Concern? He didn't know. "You didn't scream or thrash or anything."
"I usually don't. But the cuddling helps."
Adrien sighed. "Next time, cuddle Muffin. Not me."
"But Muffin doesn't have abs," Angelo muttered under his breath.
"What?!"
"Nothing!"
The morning rolled on with awkward silence and bathroom turns. Adrien took forever, while Angelo spent five minutes brushing Muffin's fur with a tiny pink comb.
When they finally stepped out in their college uniforms, Adrien's crisp and stylish, Angelo's slightly oversized with the tie hanging crooked, they almost looked like they belonged in two different timelines.
"Yo," Adrien began as they walked toward the dorm gates. "So... what are you? Eighteen?"
"I'll be Eighteen on the 21st of May," Angelo replied. "You?"
Adrien stretched lazily. "Will be Twenty-one on the second of April"
"That's a whole three years," Angelo said with a grin. "Old guy."
Adrien froze. "You what?"
"I mean-Senior!"
"Keep calling me old and I'll make sure you sleep on the floor tonight."
Angelo just giggled, skipping ahead like the human form of sunshine. "You wouldn't. You secretly like me."
Adrien scoffed. "I barely tolerate you."
"Same thing!"

Later, in Class
Angelo sat at the front of his Literature class, eyes sparkling as the professor discussed character dynamics in romance novels. in.
Angelo's mind wandered mid-class, to what happened last night
His cheeks went warm.
He tried focusing but too late his imagination drifted... again.
That one scene Adrien showed him when he had nightmares. Some random late-night streaming site, with low lighting and soft moaning.
He kept thing about the way they kissed passionately and he felt hot, as in really hot
Was that normal?
Was he supposed to blush that hard?

Cafeteria – Lunch Break
Adrien and Angelo found each other in the lunch line by chance or fate. Adrien had his headphones on, scrolling through his phone.
Angelo grinned. "Senior!"
Adrien glanced up. "You again?"
"Yep! It's almost like we're soulmates or something!"
Angelo grabbed a tray of pasta and fries, but before he could take a step, someone bumped into him hard.
Scarlett, Adrien's saucy ex,
Blonde, stylish, and cold-eyed.
She gave Angelo a once-over, eyes pausing at Muffin's keychain dangling from his bag. "Seriously?" she scoffed. "This school's letting children in now?"
Angelo's grip on his tray tightened.
Before he could say anything, Adrien stepped forward, voice low.
"Watch it, Scarlett"
Her lips curled. "Didn't know you started babysitting freshmen." Adrien folded his fist but said nothing
Angelo didn't say a word. He simply turned away and walked off alone.
---
That night, he didn't speak to Adrien,
Not a word.
He climbed into bed with Muffin and turned to the wall.
Adrien lay in his own bed, arms behind his head, staring at the ceiling. "Seriously? You're giving me the silent treatment now?"
No answer.
Adrien turned slightly, glancing at the soft rise and fall of Angelo's shoulders.
"...Little angel?"
Still nothing. "Fine"
But when he finally tried to sleep, something felt off.
And for the first time since Angelo arrived, Adrien found himself missing the warmth of that accidental morning hug.
Just then he heard soft whimpers, He turned to see Angelo shaking virguosly, his cute eyeballs were bloody red
"Nightmares again?" He asked and Angelo nodded slowly
"Come here little angel" But Angelo hesitated lightly, Adrien noticed this and he climbed off his bed
"What..what are you doing?" He asked and Adrien smiled a little, finally getting to his bed
"You wanna watch it with me..again??" He asked with a smirk and Angelo's eyes widened madly
"Huh? what?"
"What we watched last night" He said softly, with a playful grin and Angelo turned into a tomato instantly
