Outside, the neighborhood buzzed with noise. It was early morning—usually the quietest time, when everyone was supposed to stay inside their houses... but not here.

They made it obvious that something was happening here. Some were peeking from their windows, and others were already outside whispering.

I pulled out my phone, trying to see what time it was... and that everyone was already out like this.

I tried to switch the phone on, but it was of no use.

Just a black screen. ...
