Rhett's POV

“Did Theo leave?” I asked as Birdie was crawling into my bed once again.

“Yes. He left a few minutes after you went upstairs,” she told me, and I turned to face her as she made herself comfortable next to me.

I watched her for a moment. “How come you’re sleeping in my bed again, Baby Bird?” I quizzed. Not that it bothered me…but she had stopped climbing into bed with me when she became a teenager.

“Because I don’t wanna be alone,” she replied sweetly, ...
