“Alpha, it’s time,” Varkas spoke as he alked up to stand beside me.

“Hmm,” I nodded. “Do you feel that?” I moved my head to the side and listened while Varkas shook his head and watched me, confused.

“The air feels different,” I said. “It feels like my grandmother. Electric—charged and warm at the same time.” I murmured, eyes distant.
