Alan shook his head, unsure why he felt so uncomfortable, and started to unbutton his shirt.

"Should I turn off the heater?" Vienna asked, turning aside toward the button, but Alan's arm pulled her back.

Vienna missed a step, and they both crashed onto the floor. She let out a yell of pain, but Alan's body took the most impact, and he grunted quietly.

"Vienna?" Alan called after a few seconds, hearing nothing from her, and held his hand over her waist to see if she was injured.
