fingers lazily scratch my knees, I grunted as I felt like punching the mosquito that had disturbed my dream, I curled back into a ball on the cold and damp floor, my eyelids slowly closed as I prepared to go back to sleep but I felt a presence. My eyes flew open and they scanned the entrance….There were some guards there…they were with keys.“Get up now, we are taking you to see LORD ENRIZO.” One of the guards said as he unlocked the gate. The chains fell to the ground with a loud ear-splitting sound.Immediately the gate opened, I quickly jumped out in relief but the guards probably thought I wanted to escape because one of them grabbed my arms so tight that I almost let out a scream with the pains shooting up in my arms. Then Myra appeared, like a goddess with her long, magnificent, silver hair which shone like a moon. The aura of authority and strength around her surrounded me immediately.“Someone get me Judith.” She said and one of the guards walked away.Soon he arrived with the young witch from last night—Judith.“Good morning my lady,” Judith bowed. Her eyes looked so pale and tired as though she had not been sleeping for weeks.“I can see you are beginning to take your practice seriously, but I believe you can do more.” Myra said with a smile that could make a baby burst into tears if care is not taken.Judith only bowed with a nod.“So what did you say your name is again?” Myra said and our eyes met, the more I try to look away the more I felt like staring deeply into her silver eyes.“My name is—”“Shhh, cut the crap, listen up stranger, nobody, I repeat, nobody dares maintain an eye contact with me. If you want to talk to me, you have to keep your head down, is that understood?” She said, her voice was laced with anger.“I'm sorry, ma'am.” I quickly bowed my head.“It's my lady.” Judith whispered to me and I nodded. My heart felt as if someone had ripped it apart.Nobody had ever raised their voice at me, I was treated like a princess back home being the Alpha's mate.I bit my inner cheek to stop the tears that were threatening to fall.“What is your name?” She asked me again.“My name is Zoe.” I said.“We are going to the Lord's palace and that's where Zoe's fate would be determined…whether she stays and lives or she is killed and her bones given to the service dogs.” She said with a smirk which made cold shivers run down my spine.“You're coming with us too, Judith.” She said to the witch who muttered a ‘’yes.’’Soon we were walking outside the dungeon to the main road, the sun had already begun pouring her golden light to the earth. There were guards here and there protecting the kingdom.Even though my heart had become a war drum with its unstoppable and uncontrollable beating, I couldn't help but gasp at how beautiful the outcast kingdom is.It was the exact opposite of what we were told and what we always imagined. There were beautiful green and rich gardens here and there…with kids running around and eating directly from the trees. It was a beautiful sight but glares and ugly stares I got from people made my heart sink. Some even held their children right as if I was going to bite them or chew them raw.We finally got to the Lord's palace. The palace wasn't what I expected but it was chilling enough to make all the blood in my body stop flowing. The palace was two times bigger than the Alpha house in Crescent pack which was rated as the biggest Alpha house in the City.It was painted in white and gold, there were guards here and there with weapons in their hands, ready to pounce on anybody who tries to trespass. We got in and my heart started pounding really hard. Was I really doing this?I should be running away from the entire family but here I was, in the palace of his uncle. Not that I was there for fun after all, I was there for revenge. But was that the right thing to do? Yes I think so, Kade betrayed me, he made me look like a fool before everyone, so he really deserves it and I do not feel sorry for him. There were different paintings of warriors on the wall.We got into the inner chamber, into the throne room. There was a throne which looked like something from heaven at the top center of the large room, surrounding the throne were golden sofas. Some men walked in, merely looking at them you would easily recognize them as the Elders of the Kingdom.Myra settled beside them too while I was left standing with the guards surrounding me like a criminal and Judith was standing at a corner as well. The Elders whispered to themselves while some shot me some glares, if only looks could kill, I would have been 6ft under the ground now.The announcer suddenly rang a bell which almost made my heart jump out of my mouth.Everyone rose to their feet and they immediately bowed their head, I was confused, what was going on, then one of the guards grabbed my head and forced it to bow.“Ouch..” I winced.“Greetings to the Lord of The first and only Outcast kingdom of the universe.” The Announcer roared, his voice sent chills through my body.“Thank you, arise everyone.” Enrizo said and I looked up.Our eyes locked for almost seven seconds.Wow.I couldn't believe what I was seeing.I was expecting Enrizo to be an old man with a bald head, ugly ogling eyes with a party pot belly but he was the exact opposite. He had white glowing hair with sharp blue eyes, his face looked as if the Goddess took her time to sit down and carve it out perfectly. His build was even much better than his nephew, Kade.He looked so young—much younger than I had expected.I was so lost in my thoughts when I heard the people around me gasp.I blinked back trying to figure out what just happened but all eyes were on me and back to Enrizo.“What did you just say, Lord?” Myra asked, facing him.
